In 1997...
Supported by Tourism Board Malaysia (Southern State) and JOTIC, we embarked on a large-scale "Mega Sale - Buy Malaysia Made Products". The venue was at the Dataran with 205 booths, where participants were from various Malaysian states. It offered a 16 day shopping spree targeted at Singaporeans.
Towards the last quarter, we organised another 9-day event for the launching of a newly-opened Plaza Angsana (under SBBU). Sponsors include Pulai Springs, Nestle, Maybank, Habib Jewels and a host of others made that event another success. Official caterer for our Honourable and invited guests were sponsored by MAWAR (UMNO's Womens Wing).
In 1998...
MegaXpress Communications Pte Ltd was established on 15th August 1998 with an authorised capital of S$100,000/- and paid-up capital of S$100,000/-.

After valuable experiences in Johor, we started a relatively small scale uptown exhibition called "Busana Muslimah". Covering exhibition space of only 600 sqm at the well known Malay Village, and with only 56 exhibitors, the 4-day event emerged as a springboard for us to trail-blaze further. The result was unexpectedly encouraging. Overwhelmed with trade enquiries for future events, we focused more on bigger income-generated space for our exhibitors.
Ultimately, the Singapore World Trade Centre was the prime choice.
MegaXpress have grown from a small company into a reputable organisation over the years and we have always given our best to both our exhibitors and audiences all over South East Asia. We will continue to provide our excellent service and dedication to all of our partners and customers.
