ENTREPRENEURSHIP : THE BUILDING BLOCKS 2 – ALL ABOUT A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS
START-UP IN THE WEDDING INDUSTRY

Due to the overwhelming response from the last entrepreneurial workshop in
March, we will be organizing a follow-up workshop. The main objective is
to encourage more budding Muslim entrepreneurs within our
community to start-up their own businesses within the wedding scene.

Again, the long term projection is for the benefit of the local Muslim
community as a whole. As there are many who have shown interest to
penetrate the local wedding market, we will be inviting successful
business owners within the wedding market itself who will be sharing their
experience and tips with the participants.

Our esteemed speakers as stated below will touch on topics from each of
their respective fields.

1) Topic 1: “All That Glitters Are Not Gold – Business Tips in Jewellery-
Making and Precious Stones ”
Speaker: Mr Armen Rizal, Founding Director of Silver Coins Singapore and
Siran Jewels
Time: 9.30am – 10.15am

– Mr Armen Rizal is definitely one entrepreneur with that Judas’ touch.
After founded Silver Coins Singapore where he has actively encouraged the
local community to invest in Gold and Silver, he pursued his dreams in
jewellery design involving gem stones by opening Siran Jewels. Has
everything that he touched turned to gold? In this workshop, he will speak
about the ups & downs of his business experiences and share a story on why
diamonds are not always the perfect gifts.

2) Topic 2: “The Rising Cost Of Wedding Expenses – How Will It Affect The
Wedding Industry In The Long Run”
Speaker: Ustaz Mizi Wahid, CEO & Founder of Safinah Institute
Time: 10.30am – 11.15am

– Ustaz Mizi Wahid has been involved in the wedding scene since 2011 where
he was a Kadi with the Registry Of Muslim Marriages, solemnizing many
couples into marriage hood. He has his fair share of experiences and
success tips not only in business but in marriage as well. He will share
as to why ‘Marriage’ is the most fundamental aspect to a successful
business. Ustaz Mizi Wahid will also elaborate further on a topic which is
highly debatable now which is the increasing cost of wedding expenses.
Will it encourage or will it deter more marriages?

3) ‘LIVE’ EXHIBITION Tour & Networking Session with exhibitors
Time: 11.45am – 12.45pm

5) Topic 3: “Capturing Businesses Behind The Lens”
Speaker: Mr Fandy Razak, Founder Of StudioDua Boutique Photography
Time: 2.00pm – 2.45pm

– Mr Fandy Razak have been in the wedding photography scene for more than
10 years now. A teacher by trade, what makes him moved over to the most
challenging aspect of the wedding trade? Has he been following his passion
and the artistic nature in him by moving into this field where the grass
are greener? Find out more from the man himself and he will share his
experiences in Singapore’s First Ever Photography Reality Show, “The Big
Shot 1″ where he was crowned as the Champion in the said competition.

6) Topic 4: “The Make Up Of A Wedding Planner – The Good, The Bad & The
Ugly”
Speaker: Ms Fatimah Mohsin, Founder of Fatimah Mohsin Singapore
Time: 3.00pm – 3.45pm

– Ms Fatimah Mohsin is a well-recognised Make-Up Artist and wedding
planner in the local wedding industry. She has been invited many a times
for TV Suria as their official make-up artist on TV shows and corporate
functions. Fatimah Mohsin too have traveled the world in many of her
projects with business partners and clients. What makes her pursue this
dream of hers despite the many challenges that she had to face along the
way? Ms Fatimah Mohsin will share more on her very motivational stories
and tips to not only be a successful business person in this industry but
to attain the sustaining power as well.

13) Closing Address By Mr Haji Hamzah Abdullah, Managing Director of
MegaXpress International Pte Ltd
